[Praskipark, 28/12/2009] The Lion of Porches which is how the name of this restaurant translates has been around a long time in the Algarve. Housed in an elegant 17th century building on the main street of Porches, a town famous for its pottery, is just to the east of Lagoa in the Algarve. A restaurant that most ex-pats and local Portuguese praise and frequent at least once a week.
The days when old traditional cuisine were served have long gone - well since 2005 when the restaurant changed hands from Portuguese to Dutch owners. The cuisine served is International but mainly covers a wide selection of French and Be

[krispeeters, 03/12/2009] The slogan of the owners is well chosen : "because you deserve it". They really made us feel at home in their lovely small hotel. We stayed at the end of October and were surprised to find the hotel fully booked. But after staying here for a couple of days we realised why... very comfortable rooms, heated outdoor pool with the jacuzzi going every hour or so, walks, bicycle routes as well as car excursions prepared for us, coffee and cake by the fireplace upon our return to the hotel and very personal attendance by the owners of this small and very special place to stay.
