Archaeological museum Starinen Nesebar
The Archaeological Museum Ancient Nessebar is located at the beginning of the Old town of Nessebar. The museum is situated next to the fortress walls, to the right. The museum exists since 1956. Initially the museum’s exhibits were presented in the St. John the Baptist church. Some years later, in 1994, the museum was moved in new built building. The exhibits are shown in four halls, one of them has only icons. Here you may see the document certifying the entry of Old Nessebar in the list of World cultural heritage. In the museum one may see items related to the history of the city, such as statues, ornaments, anchors, amphorae and coins from different eras. The Archaeological Museum also includes St. Stephen church and St. Spass church. The museum is open to visitors every day. The opening hours are from Monday to Friday - from 9 am to 7 pm., Saturday and Sunday – from 9am to 1 pm., and from 1.30 pm to 6 pm. The entrance fee is : 4 lv for adults, students and disabled people for each museum - 2.00 lv., for kids 2 lv. For visitors who have combined tickets (for museum, St. Stephen church and St. Spass church) These may be bought only in the Archaeological Museum.

Nessebar is a Bulgarian city, situated on the Black sea coast of Bulgaria. It is an ancient city with many museums and churches - the Church of St Sophia or the Old Bishopric, the Church of John the Baptist, Church of St John Aliturgetos and many others. At the entrance of the city there is very attractive wooden windmill from the middle of the 18th century. The first name, that Thracian gave to the town is Mesimvria (from Greek). After becoming a Greek colony, then Roman and from the 5th century, became one of the most important strongholds of the Byzantine Empire. The Bulgarian name of Nesebar or Mesebar appeared in the 11th century. Nessebar is also a major sea side resort, with Sunny Beach just to the north.

Фестивалът на Пясъчните фигури се провежда за първи път през 2008 г. и е първият по рода си в България. В него участват творци от цял свят. Провежда се в Морската градина на Бургас и по точно в северната и част, в близост до Конната база. Там в продължение на почти два месеца, от юли до средата на септември, на площ от пет декара могат да се видят пясъчните фигури. Фигурите се ваят от специален пясък с по-високо съдържание на глина, което прави моделите устойчиви на климатичните условия. Могат да се видят, направени от пясък филмови герои, замъци, различни морски същества, общо над 25 склуптури. За направата им е използван над 3000 тона пясък и някои от тях достигат височина над 8 метра. Склупторите са подредени под формата на спирала, а по средата се издига дърво на приказките високо 8,50 метра, с щъркелово гнездо на върха.Така цялата композиция представлява слънчев часовник и през целия ден сянката на дървото посочва фигурите една след друга. Вход: за възрастни 3 лв., за деца 1 лв.
