[Ania_V, 09/01/2012] We were surprised to find Boris Palace immidiately when we entered Plovdiv. Boris, the owner of the hotel, Cristina and the rest stuff helped us with our luggage and parked our car in their private parking. Our room was in the first floor, it was nice, clean, spacious and cosy. Every night we were asked the time we would like to have our breakfast the next morning. Our breakfast was always served in the table making us feeling unique as we didn't have to take a plate and wonder around the restaurant to choose from a classic buffet. It included everything a person would like to eat, sweet or sa

[martanikolova, 06/01/2012] I was a bit disappointed of this hotel. A few years back during the fair in Plovdiv, they made some kind of mistake with our reservation and had to move me to another hotel. They transferred me to a hotel way below the quality they were supposed to transfer me to and this was absolutely awful. I had to stay in this horrible hotel for a night, then got moved to another hotel (this time a great one), but had to spend the whole time away from our group. So, yes - the hotel facilities might be great, but I personally didn't receive anything but disappointment from them, unfortunately.
[martanikolova, 06/01/2012] This hotel practically saved me a few years back. There is this fair in Plovdiv and during it lasts hotels are fully booked. We were participating in an exhibition and had many guests. Our reservations were in another hotel, but something happened and they had to transfer someone to another hotel (there was a problem with one of the rooms). So I agreed to be moved, but they moved me to a horrible hotel, at least 1-2 stars below what I expected. So hotel Sankt Peterburg solved my problem and managed to provide me with a room, which saved the day :) I was so impressed by the service and the room

[veny, 22/06/2011] The restaurant is located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. We went in 2006 with "Happy Village" for the first time in 2006 there is a domestic situation. we were satisfied with the food and wine which offered. People were very polite.
[pupsy, 08/03/2010] Last week we decided to visit Plovdiv and especially the Roman Theater in Plovdiv. This is one of the most famous monuments of Antiquity in Bulgaria. It was built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century. The Theater is built between Dzhambaz Tepe and Taksim Tepe. A lot of events took place at that theater during the 2nd century and nowadays it is one of the most famous sightseeing of Plovdiv,it is overlooking the town as if it is protecting it from something. In the past the theater could accommodate up to 7000 spectators. The theater is the perfect place to see the whole

[aurora_np, 15/01/2010] The Mall of Plovdiv opened several months ago. It is the first shopping center in the municipality of Plovdiv which has these huge dimensions. It is situated near the city center and people can reach it by the public buses or by their own cars. There are a large parking lot and an underground garage with a lot of places and the clients of the Mall can use them free of charge.
The Mall of Plovdiv works seven days a week with no rest day. It has several floor levels with more than one hundred retail stores, a supermarket, a pharmacy, mobile operators’ offices, restaurants, children playgrou

[ValentinaMM, 16/12/2009] Puldin restaurant is one of the symbols of Plovdiv. Probably there is no person coming to the city of the International Plovdiv Fair that hasn’t gone there yet. Located in the very center of one of the most aristocratic Bulgarian cities, the place is built over a Rome fortress wall and owns some of the spectacular features of the old city.
Once you approach it you would be impressed by the wall. It is very beautiful, long and high, and brings out this respect that a serious restaurant might have as a face. Parking area is before the restaurant, it is owned by some suspiciously looking peopl

[ValentinaMM, 15/12/2009] Veselo Selo is probably the most attractive restaurant in Plovdiv. The name is English means The Happy Village. It is designed in ethno Bulgarian style from the entrance and its face to the hall for guests inside.
The place is very close to the center of the city and is less than a kilometer far from the International Plovdiv Fair. Once you approach it you would just stay speechless. It is like you teleported yourself back in time in a small shaped village. The face of the restaurant is not a regular wall, it is a row of small houses, little bit higher of a person, with absolutely true prop

[ValentinaMM, 09/12/2009] At this hotel I stayed 2 times during my business trips. Charmed by the service and room. Very expensive though.
The hotel has a very nice location, reachable easily from the main road, it is in the center, next to the city garden and the shopping area. There is a parking area, very large.
The condition of the hotel is very good. Outside, inside, it is very good cared, as supposed to this aristocratic appearance it has. The lobby is nice and very much illuminated. It is not very big but is roomy enough, it is supposed to welcome people, not to keep them wait in comfortable sofas. And c

[ValentinaMM, 09/12/2009] This is the hotel with the most business trips of mine. Of course this has a lot to do with the regular held International Plovdiv Fair and its location just across the boulevard of the exhibition area, but this only means it is comfortable as a location for me. Otherwise I would never go there.
Being one of the organizers of participations of international companies at the Fair is a job that should be done with responsibility and coordination of different suppliers during preparation works of 3-4 days before the opening, a week during the Fair and 1-2 days after the closing of the event. [irenauleva, 07/05/2009] Well, I cannot write a lot, not to mention that I dont like writting so much, but Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv was one of the first and definitely аn unforgettable place where I ‘ve been during my student life in Plovdiv.
So between two lectures me and some of the other students decided to go and look around the Old town of Plovdiv. We just went there without exact idea what to see. The Ethnographic Museum was the second place we saw there. The museum is located in a beautiful Renaissance house. For me the most impressive thing was this house, built in 1847.
The exhibition is divided into

[fabi_mimi, 20/04/2009] The hotel is perfect for business peoples.Stayed there on a business trip. Sank Peterburg hotel offers excellent conditions for business meeting. The hotel is combination of elegance and modern European flair. The hotel has very good location. It is situated in the business center of Plovdiv They have free laptops, actual free Wi-Fi and secretary services.
[irenauleva, 12/03/2009] Art hotel Dali is lockated in downtown,it's close to the Old part of Plovdiv. It's few steps away from the main padastrian street of Plovdiv, which is shopping and business centre as well.
At first site you cannot understand that there is a hotel, but there is:) The lobby is really small, actually the hotel is really small. But rooms are good looking. The hotel don't offer some extra service. A big problem, on this street is almost impossible to find a parking for you car.
Almost entire day there is a congestion.
[irenauleva, 12/03/2009] Rodopi hotel is 15-20 min.far from the Plovdiv centre, depend on the traffic. There is nothing luxary here, but it's clean, renoveted, not so expensive. It's close to the trade and industrial part of Plovdiv. There is a parking, don't live your car outside, you will pay penalty for this. There is a lobby bar and a restaurant, the food is good. Everyone is soooo polite,so you feel good there.
[irenauleva, 12/03/2009] Imperial hotel is a good pleace to stay if you have to spend few days in Plovdiv. At the first sight when you go in it looks like Sankt Peterburg hotel, the colours, reception desk, lobby bar and so on,but prices are lower. Also it's a bit hard to find it and the pleace where the hotel is located it's not so good. There is a small spa center and it's a good one. The emplоyees are kind.
There is a parking, free of charge for the guests. They offer the service "air port pick up", which is a good service, because a taxi from the Plovdiv airport can take more than 40-60 levs ( 30 Euro). The price of t

[irenauleva, 10/03/2009] I really like this hotel. It's located in the business center of Plovdiv, near International Plovdiv fair. There is a huge parking, not to worry where to live your car. This is a big problem in Plovdiv, especially when it's fair time. You have to pay about it, this is a thing which I still can not accept,but.... All rooms are renovated, actually the whole hotel is renovated and everything is quite good, not to say excellent:) There are two restaurants, a lobby bar, a night bar and wonderful aqua park. Ooo I forgot bar Panorama, from there you can see entire Plovdiv. There is a telescope to look a

[irenauleva, 09/03/2009] I love everything in Plovdiv. I was a student there and Antique theatre was the first impressive place I've seen there. Years there it was our place to meet with our friends. I think this is the most remarkable thing to see in Plovdiv. It was bulit by Emperor Mark Avrelii during the II century A.D. Theatre and opera performances are still staged here on warm summer nights. I was there to see one of my favourite band, Deep Purple, actualy Ritchie Blackmore with his lover:),not all of them. The Amphitheatre is rising above the city. You can see almost entire Plovdiv from there and sunsets are re

[Praskipark, 24/05/2008] Dafi Hotel is a three star hotel in Plovdiv. I had seen it advertised on various websites and as we were spending a few days in Plovdiv we thought we would check it out. The reason for our trip to Plovdiv was house hunting with the intention of buying. We were also visiting other parts of Bulgaria like Karlovo, Sofia and Veliko Turnovo but Plovdiv and The Dafi were our first port of call.
Leaving Krumovo airport, a very small airport which seemed at the time like a shed in the middle of nowhere, we decided to get a taxi as neither my husband or I could speak any Bulgarian. Although it is mu

[David, 05/01/2008] The antique theater is part of the Old Plovdiv preserve and it is a nice end of a walk around the town.
You have to cross all the beautiful old town with its beautiful preserved houses, after which you can reach the theather.
In the summer - August - the town can be very hot.
I think the best time to visit it is April - Jun.
The theater has amphitheatre shape and is not the biggest on the Balkans, but it is a working one.
In the summer there is a classical music festival as well many operas and rock-concerts are orginized there.
The view to the town is gorgeous too. You can sit an
