Hotel Beach Club Playa de Son Parc
Grosmont is the northernmost station of the North York Moors Railway and also houses a workshop of the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group. The NYMR engine sheds are located through what is believed to be the earliest passenger railway tunnel in the world, built between 1833 and 1835 by George Stephenson. The sheds and the surrounding area have various types of train engines each in a different state of repair. A platform allows visitors to view the work in progress from above and there is a shop with railway souvenirs. All sales contribute to the running costs of the steam and diesel trains. Entrance to the sheds are free but donations are welcomed. Educational events and working parties are also presented.
