Description:	Dating from 1921 and traditionally run in May, the Comrades Marathon is an International endurance race which covers a distance of 89km between Pietermaritzburg City Hall and Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, with the direction being reversed each year. A three day Expo related to running and other sporting activities is held simultaneously. The race is considered to be the largest ultramarathon worldwide and lasts for 12-hours.
