[mctraveler, 19/05/2011] Cretaiole is set in the stunning countryside of Tuscany, and we found it a perfect, comfortable, and peaceful place to rest, relax, enjoy the company of other guests and the owners between day trips to neighboring hill towns. Bella!
[jac_201130, 16/05/2011] Agriturismo Cretaiole is an absolutely wonderful place in a picture perfect location. The Moricciani family makes you feel apart of their family. Luciano, Liliana, Carlo, and Isabella go above and beyond the usual hospitality to make your stay an outstanding experience. You truly see the pride and love they have for their heritage.
Between the other guest and the Moricciani family there is a wonderful sense of community at the farmhouse, which enhances the experience. Isabella’s amazing self-made guidebooks with directions and suggested itineraries are so helpful to make the most of your time

Everything about the property was perfect - the expansive grounds for relaxing, walking, playing and massage in the olive garden(!) and the proximity to many wonderful towns and destinations. While we stayed in our own apartment, we felt a sense of community with the Moricciani family and the other travelers. We enjoyed visiting over morning coffee in the courtyard and sharing several of the Cretaiole arranged events (pasta making, followed by dinner is a must!). Our

[mmcroberts, 16/10/2010] I highly recommend Agriturismo Cretaiole. My girlfriends and I were there in September 2010, and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. I’ve already made my reservation for my next visit to Cretaiole! It’s more than a vacation. It is comfortable immersion in to the Tuscan way of life: slow paced and always appreciative of the land, bounty and tradition of the region. The Moricciani family, headed by Luciano, cater to their guests’ every need. If you want to live the Tuscan life and learn the language, the customs, the food, the vino then Cretaiole is the right place.

It is up to the visitor to then embrace the life and culture of Italy and the Tuscany region. This is really quite easy, once you get to know the Moricciani family, the proprietors of Cretaiole.
Never have I been to a place where the customer has been so thoroughly thought of and taken care of. If you are looking for a pool, spa, amusement park, shopping malls, golf, or other items one might normally look for in a vacation, Cretaiole is not for you. But, if you want to taste and feel what it is to be

[seattlegrandma, 14/04/2010] Our one week stay at Cretaiole followed a busy week in Rome. As the Grandma, travelling with my 10-year old grandson and his parents, it was the perfect finale to an amazing trip to Italy. Highlights included the Romitorio (ancient Italy - awesome), Isabella's Pici-making class (and feast), an olive oil testing and an Easter Monday feast. Isabella, Carlo and Luciano were the quintessential hosts, always eager to answer questions, and always available. Between our hosts and the incredible views in Tuscany (not to mention the food and wine), I'd highly recommend this as an ideal stop on an I

[pvanmaanen, 08/10/2009] Our week at Cretaiole in May was perfect! We relaxed in the beauty, we toured wineries, we explored the towns. We can't wait to return! The room was great and hospitality even better! Thank you for a wonderful experience that we will never forget!

bartmuur, 17/07/2009] Since some ten years we visit Agriturismo Cretaiole in Pienza (It), at least once per year. We must have been there some 15-20 times, and it feels like coming home and meeting our family again. The above is not quite sufficient to express our experiences and feelings. It’s just a fantastic place to stay, and Pienza is a lovely, small medieval town with nice shops, great restaurants and cordial people. In the most beautiful landscape that you can imagine. Cretaiole does not serve breakfast, and only occasionally a dinner. But then a rich dinner. Sometimes served on other locations. Or in the ga

[kbw329, 09/07/2009] Cretaiole is perfect for families of any age or number! The accommodations are comfortable and clean, the hosts are friendly and helpful (lots of great information on the area), and there were great activities included in the price of the stay making it an excellent value as well. We learned a lot and had fun doing it. Our family would come back in a heart beat! You can get experiences of food, history, culture, nature and friendship, as much or as little as you want.

QuigsMom, 11/06/2009] My husband and I spent a second glorious vacation where we stayed three full weeks at Cretaiole. We enjoyed our stay there so much the year before that before we left we booked our next vacation — again requesting the apartment called Il Pollaio. The end of the three weeks came, and we were not ready to leave at all. We had settled in and felt like we were at home, both physically and emotionally.
The personal assistance from Isabella was perfect, as always and from the entire family, too. Again, she gave us a cell phone to use during our entire stay; all we had to do was purchase time at the
