[more]The Millennium Galleries opened in the Spring of 2001 and they are located in the middle of Sheffield City Centre. They were created as a part of the Heart of the City project, which is an ongoing rejuvenation project in Sheffield that is partly funded by National Lottery money.
The Millennium Galleries take up two floors and actually comprise of four different Galleries under one roof. These are the Special Exhibition Gallery, the Craft & Design Gallery, The Metalwork Gallery and the Ruskin Gallery.
Admission to the Millennium Galleries is free but there is sometimes an admission charge to special exhibitions.
The Museum is open at the following times:
Monday - Saturday 8am - 5pm (exhibitions open at 10am)
Sunday 11am - 5pm
Bank Holiday Mondays 10am - 5pm
