[more]The Bhutanese Royal Society for the Protection of Nature runs a Black Necked Crane Information Centre in the Phobjikha Valley which offers visitors a chance to learn about the rare birds which make their winter home in the valley between November and February. The Centre has exhibits about the birds, their migration paths and behaviour and about the ecology of the valley as a whole. In the observation room, visitors can use high powered telescopes to observe the birds.
The centre is open year round from Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm. There is no admission charge.
