[General_Leo, 30/12/2009] My brother (Chris) and I took a 5 hour train ride from Saigon to Phan Thiet. It was a rainy day and the "state" of train station clearly did not impress us very much (Vietnam is trying!) but, a 0.5 hour taxi ride finally brought us to the front of the Pandanus Resort. [jonnyp, 26/08/2008] I stayed at the Beach resort in March 07 and loved the cool, clean rooms. It had a very nice open restaurant that looked out to sea from many angles, but the food was a slight disappointment - nothing bad, I must say, but not all that special either.
Access to the beach is via a large flight of steps - this part of the beach has been hit by serious erosion (although there are efforts underway to fight this) so it is only possible to sit on the beach at low tide
