He was married to fellow painter Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes (1859-1912) The house is approached by a quater mile long driveway, situated in large grounds in a very quiet and peaceful location, ideally situated for many pursuits such as walking or cycling, close to many stunning beaches such as lamorna and Porthcurno, and of course Mounts Bay for those keen on wind and water sports.Many of the counties visitor attractions are within easy reach such as Lands End, Geevor Tin Mine, Porthcurno Telegraph Museum, The Minack theatre, St Michaels Mount to name but a few, and of course not forgetting the artists there is Newlyn Gallery, Penlee gallery and museum, Barbara Hepwoth, and the Tate Gallery St Ives, also within easy reach are attractions such as The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan etc. and much more to see, come and experience the Magic of Cornwall.
