[ranger, 11/01/2009] I visited Patong beach, Phuket in April 2008, I was staying at andamans house hotel (which was 15 minutes walk to the beach) Patong is just like other beaches in Thailand: clean, well equipped (chairs and umbrellas), vendors selling fresh fruit and cold drinks. The only problem is that during April Phukets weather is extremely fluctuating : it is hot and sunny in the morning (so ideal for beach going).. then at around 15:00 it suddenly gets very very cloudy and in a period of minutes it starts heavily raining (so the vendors by the beach starts closing and staff removing the chairs) [more]
