The short travel guide entry mainly focusses on the famous guests like Coco Chanel, Proust or Hemingway that had stayed at the hotel which also "was the setting for Dodi and Di's last supper". The flair of the suites ranges from "romantic" to "glitzy" according to the guide.

In their annual awards issue, CNT rates the Ritz Paris as the Best Hotel for Food in Europe and awards the hotel a score of 95.91%. The hotel, "established in 1898", is the "flagship" of the Ritz group and "exude(s) smooth, old-world style". The Ritz has 106 rooms and suites, which are "lavishly furnished" with "magnificent... curtains". The bars include the "Vendome" and the "Hemingway" amongst others and are "favoured local watering holes". The chef "Michel Roth" runs the L'espadon restaurant, which provides "exceptional" food. This exceptional rated hotel by frommers is described as the "greatest" in Europe.Located on the "most beautiful and historic squares" of Paris, it is a "symbol of elegance".
