The rooms at the Castex are "plain" and "functional" and nothing else, as is the rest of the hotel. They are "very clean" however. The front desk is in a "tiny" area but a lot of travel information is made available to guests. The reviewer was particularly impressed with the "friendliness" of the two sons at this "family-run hotel". As far as location is concerned, this is "a great address", as it is "on the quiet side of the Bastille", but not so far that you couldn't go everywhere "by foot".
