Arc de Triomphe is a very good start the other main attractions in Paris, and they are definitely not least. [alex99, 08/01/2009] No doubt everybody has heard of and seen pictures of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I had also seen pictures and heard of the arc prior to my visit in the first days of 2006. To be honest I was not too excited about it, since this was not a place, which I had been dreaming about seeing. But after my visit I can definitely say it was worth every second even though it was snowing and wind was blowing at sub-zero temperatures. I was first surprised by its size.
