A new favourite in Oxford
Frommers reviewed the Old Bank in 2006 and noted that it was the first new hotel in the city centre for "135 years". It opened in 1999 and "immediately surpassed" the Randolph Hotel for "style and amenities". The hotel is on the city's "main street" and is nestled amongst the "colleges and sights". Observations on The Bank
The Guardian's reviewer stayed at the Old Bank in 2000, not long after it opened. Their room was in the attic and from the window the "dreaming spires seem to float" over the city. The hotel is "at the heart of the university city" set in a "terrace of three properties" set in what was until recently a "branch of Barclays Bank". THE ROOMS - have [more...]
