The Ouray Ice Festival is a celebration of people that enjoy ice climbing. It is a unique combination of a private land owner and a volunteer group of climbing enthusiast coming together to build an ice climbing park. This event is held every year over the Martin Luther King Jr holiday weekend in January. It has free admission with an asked for $10 donation going to the Ouray Ice Park. For people wishing to participate costs include a non refundable $40 donation for each clinic. Clinics are 2.5 hours long in duration. There is also a climbing competition. |
