[more]Restinn Hotel Aartswoud offers its guests an extraordinary stay in the middle of the countryside. In the detached modern apartments for double use you can enjoy the peace and privacy but also the luxury of a good hotel. The apartment is equipped with all the comfort you need for a pleasant stay. Restinn Hotel Aartswoud offers its guests a great time in a very special way. Except for a double bed in a cozy apartment in the middle of the property of the farm of family Nieuweboer, guests can enjoy the luxury of a real hotel. Each morning, the hostess of Restinn Hotel Aartswoud comes around to serve a delicious breakfast. And on request, she can prepare a particularly tasty dinner on the spot. The shape and decoration of the apartments are surprising and were exclusively designed by architect Henri Leloup from Warder. Each modern apartment has excellent facilities, such as blissful kingsize beds, a sitting area, cozy dining area and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Also, the apartment has a television, minibar and an Internet connection. Through the folding doors you reach the terrace. Farm Kerckeplaes of family Nieuweboer has a rich history. It derives its name from the fact that it originally belonged to the Dutch Reformed Church of Aartswoud. When in 1963 the church wanted to sell the farm, it was done through drawing lots. The family Nieuweboer won the price and since then they have been running a successful cattle breeding business. On 70 hectares of pasture land 140 cows graze and around the farm corn and tulips are grown. The location of the farm is very beautiful, with views of the typical villages of the area, such as Aartswoud, Hoogwoud, Abbekerk and De Weere. Food and Drinks Each morning, the hostess serves a lovely and extensive breakfast. At a charge a lunch package can be ordered. On request, this friendly lady serves a luscious 2 or 3 course dinner in the evening. Dinner time is in consultation with her. You can choose between various meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and a matching wine can be enjoyed with it. In the minibar several drinks, snacks and candybars are provided for the guests. Internet In the hotel guests can use free Internet. Other information - Thet hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check-in untill 19:00 h.- Credit card payment is not possible.- An extra bed can be placed in the room on request for €30 per night.- Pets are not allowed.- Luggage can be stored at the hotel (on request). Surroundings In the polders of the province of Noord Holland lies Restinn Hotel Aartswoud. Before the impoldering this old fishing village Aartswoud was situated by the sea Zuiderzee (which is now the lake IJsselmeer). In Enkhuizen, in the museum Zuiderzeemuseum you can learn all about the interesting history of this region. Aartswoud itself features a striking building with a tower from the sixteenth century, the Reformed Church. The tower was then used as a beacon for the whalers. The nearby old town of Medemblik is also very nice to visit, including the cheese weighing-house and the Radboud Castle which dates back from 1288, but also several old warehouses and historic buildings and mills. Please Note: It is not possible to pay by credit card or PIN. Payment of food, drinks and snacks can be paid cash on the morning of departure.
