Kaiser's Throne - Pelekas, Greece
All around Corfu (12.07.2008 20:13)
Kaiser's Throne is located above the village of Pelekas, you will need some form of transport to get here as it is not close to any of the tourist resorts. It does not cost anything to enter the site. The view was a favorite of Kaiser Wilhelm II and I can see why, on a clear day you can see a magnificent 360 degree view of the island and beyond. The viewing platform is made of metal and has [more...] -

There is a small inside dining area probably used more in the winter by the locals. The best seating areas are on terraces which are situated at [more...] -

ATM Dalaman Airport - Dalaman, Turkey
Organised but at a price. (03.07.2008 23:00)
My wife and I arrived in Dalaman airport about 12.30pm early June after a 4hr flight from Newcastle. We exited the plane by the walkways that attach to the doors on the plane, which is much better than being squeezed onto buses and taxied to the arrivals. The airport is new and air-conditioned which made it very comfortable to walk to the visa booths and then onto passport control. We were [more...]
