excellent
[23.12.2007] This place is nicely tucked away in the back areas of Altrincham away from the main road where most of the bars are. It is privately owned and served food both day and night as well as a good range of drinks. The bar itself is pretty small and most nights it is never too crowded which makes it a nice pleasant night out for an intimate drinks or for a small group of friends. The prices in here are reasonable, po [more]

perfection!
[23.12.2007] Baa Bar is a great venue for a start to an evening out in Manchester. They always have lots and lots of drinks offers on, mainly shots and lots of clubbers will go here first before moving onto a club. The drinks they serve are always really cheap which is why come any night of the week you'll find this place jam packed!! It can sometimes be hard to get served as the bar is always heaving and the staff are alwa [more]

[23.12.2007] This place is fabulous! It is one of the smallest bars in Manchester and is actually a converted toilet (one of them old types that was in the middle of the street and you walked down a flight of stairs to it). The bar in some ways has not been converted too much as it still retains the tiles walls and is the same in the shape as in that it is long and slim. The bar itself has been placed at the end and literally [more]

very good
[23.12.2007] Dukes 92 is in a lovely area of Manchester as it overlooks the canal and the streets surrounding it are cobbled. It is relatively easy to find too as you can follow the road down until you come to the bar from the main road of Deansgate. The bar is pretty trendy and is decorated with a lot of dark wood and is very stylish. The bar tends to be lit in the evenings too by candle light to create a really nice ambiance [more]

[22.12.2007] A night out in 5th Avenue is pretty much always a good one! Entry can sometimes be difficult if you're not a student as they rn lots of these nights as this place is just so poular with them - probably due to the cheap drinks the amount of other students in there but, if you can get in or it's not even a main student night (they'll still be loads in there!) then it's well worth a visit. The club is open until 2am [more]

good
[20.12.2007] Cheshire Oaks designer outlet has been open quite a while now and at first it was lt my mother raved about - I presumed it must be pretty good and so decided to take a visit one day. The is easily accesible by car and as this was the only way for me to make the journey as travelling from another town altogher I founbd it to be quite easy to find as it is signposted on the main motorway, however, I don't know how a [more]

[20.12.2007] This is probably one of the best loacal shopping areas to me outside of Manchester itself and going into the Trafford centre. There are lots and lots of shops to choose from and they have something that will suit everyone. They have all the most well know stores you'd expect to find in a main shopping complex such as Boots, M&S, WhSmith, Thortons, etc etc. Plus they have loads of little cafes and sandwich bars [more]

Not worth the money

[18.12.2007] Overall I would never stay here again - My trip was literally due to the fact that I couldn't get home that evening after missingthe last city centre train and at the time there being no late night buses to my local area. The owner charged us something silly like £50 for the night even though it was literally just a bed without even private facilities! This was some time ago and i'd hope by now this place would [more]

[18.12.2007] The hotel is perfect for those guests travelleing and the standard is really good - brilliant standard rooms and for those maybe celebrating a special occasion you can upgrade and start your holiday off in style! The hotel has enough facilities to keep everyone happy and for business guests it is perfect for meetings too with state of the art meeting rooms and facilites [more]

excellent
[16.12.2007] The hilton hotel is home the the 'cloud 23' bar. The bar hence it's name is 23 floors up in the building and to get into it you have to take the only lift that goes up to it which doesn't stop at any of the other floors. The lobby has a red carpet outside the lift that goes to it and entry is limited to 200 people so it can be a bit difficult to gain entry, especially as the hotel guest have first priority. As [more]
