[hannah_i, 11/10/2011] Perhaps I visited at a bad time (July), but the river was flowing particularly high and unfortunately the falls failed to live up to my expectations. The area surrounding the falls is very beautiful, including the whirlpool in the river to Niagara Falls. But as for the water fall itself, let's just say I much preferred the more delicate American Falls on the other side of the border!
[BlueStar, 30/06/2011] Niagra Falls is amazing, definatley worth making the trip for. would love to see it again.
[househusband, 07/07/2010] A must do.An helicoptor flight over the falls are amazing. The pilots are a bit like boy racers as they snake their way along the river to the falls but the views are spectacular.
[GSr, 12/06/2010] There is a spider infestation in the motel. Rats run by the pool (saw two of them). The rooms smell like beer and mold. From experience and other reviews, there is a huge MOLD PROBLEM!
They refused to do wake-up calls. They actually forced us to check-out earlier! Worst experience with a motel.Ever.
[magdadh, 29/03/2010] We travel to Niagara Falls from a rainy Toronto on the second day of our stay in Canada: a slightly mad, jet-lagged venture that we came up with separately. Having checked out of the hotel in which we spent our first night, we wait for a response from our potential Couch Surfing hosts and instead of hanging round Toronto, we decide to just go for it an visit one of the biggest tourist attractions of Ontario and possibly the whole North America.
We walk to the bus station across Toronto downtown, Katie exclaiming in wonder on the sight of every tall building. The bus leaves in half an hour an

[TheDaz, 24/06/2009] With more than 1700 slot machines, countless gaming card tables and betting wheels, the Casino Niagara has plenty to offer in the way of entertainment.
Sited above a hotel and entertainment complex, and attached to a huge waterpark, the Casino is part of the Niagara experience of all-hours fun. Open from very early until very late at night, it is often quite busy in season, and is popular with sports betters who cluster round the live-action screens to pick their in game options.
With 4 different bars and restaurants, also has a wide choice of dining available, including the spectacular

[meganm1, 08/06/2009] I booked this hostel through hostelworld.com and was sent an email to review my stay. I stayed in this hostel from the 5th-6th of June and upon submitting my review, the owner of the hostel Patrick sent me a very rude email complaining that I did not score his business high enough and told me not to come back. I was a very polite guest and the review I submitted was fair. My original review went as follows:
"Great place to stay, clean and comfortable and serves a great breakfast. Dont let the plain looking exterior / interior phase you...this is the best deal in town and the staff really does

[yummy_mummyx, 29/01/2009] Awesome! Totally awesome!!! Ive wanted to see this Wonder of the World for quite some time and was not at all disappointed when I finally did.
Niagara falls are made up of two falls, the American falls and the Canadian Horseshoe falls which is what most people think of when they visualise Niagara Falls. The Horseshoe Falls so named due to its shape, are approx 800m wide and 50m high. The American falls are almost as impressive at 56m high and about 330m wide along its crestline. We walked from opposite the American falls towards the Canadian falls and as we approached, the incredible roa

[TheDaz, 18/12/2008] With a bewildering array of Hotels available, it was with some trepidation that I booked the Skyline Motel in Niagara for a brief stopover to see what the fuss was about with some Waterfall, on a whirlwind 2 week tour of Ontario and Quebec earlier this year, as I feared the pick of the only dud in town.
Nothing could have been further from the truth. Whilst the larger, well known hotels still had high rates during the off season, the Skyline had me sold for a mere £26, and delivered a standard of quality and facilities worth at least twice that.
Attached to the back of the massive Falls

[toombsey, 17/04/2007] This is a great hotel in a great location with the most spectacular views of the falls. The suites are faultless - highly recommended.
[borntofly, 07/03/2007] Niagara Falls has two falls, on the Canadian border you have the Canadian falls which can be viewed from Buffalo in America, on the other side is the Horsehoe Falls. When you draw closer to the falls your eyes eagerly await the breathtaking site, that is exactly what it is, tons of water falling down at such a speed that even though you are many miles away observing you feel the water mist on you. The falls have a permanent rainbow above them which is beautiful. By the end of an hour you are drenched by the mist spray. We were lucky enough to be driven there by relatives otherwise I do no thin

[trivago traveller, 23/12/2006] Upon arrival to our room after check in, the cars given to us did not work. Walked all the way around the building to the front desk to replace them, Second set did not work. Had to get maint guy to let us in. The room stank and had stains on the carpet. Called down for additional pillow and no one came. Called a second time and 45 minutes later they arrived.
Complained in the morning about the cards, room and lack of service. Spoke the the "so called" manager Ian Conway, who said he would look into it and call me back. No call. I sent a letter of disgust to him and the "actual" hotel manager

[proxam, 09/01/2006] My wife and I visited Canada in 2001 for our silver wedding anniversary, but the highlight of our trip had to be our two night stay at the Sheraton Fallsview.
The reception area was somewhat cavernous with a waterfall feature in the central area next to a massive staircase. I wonder where they got the inspiration for a water feature?!
There were a couple of gift shops and a coffee shop in the reception area and an Italian restaurant off to one side.
Checking-in was a bit slow with only a couple of staff on hand at first, and one person having a problem with their reservation. Howev

Niagara Falls is truly one of the wonders of the world and if you ever get to see it, the sight will remain in your memory for ever. It is very hard to forget the instant shock that your senses get from the sight, the size, the spray and the noise!
Niagara Falls is not all that old - geologically speaking, that is - formed between5,500 and 12,000 years ago, a mere blink in the age of the earth and in all that time, the flow of water has stopped only once. In 1848, durin
