Description Novotel Newcastle
The Novotel Newcastle is a three star property located in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. The hotel is situated outside the city centre and within close driving distance of the Newcastle International Airport. The hotel offers 126 guest rooms and parking is available at the hotel.
The hotel offers several guest rooms including the standard room but also a family room. All the rooms have coffee and tea making facilities, air conditioning, in room safe, radio, iron, ironing board, satellite/cable television, telephone and hairdryer. Guests have access to the wireless internet. There are four rooms available for people with a handicap. There is a restaurant and a bar at the hotel which serves breakfast and dinner.
At the hotel is a heated indoor swimming pool and sauna. Guests can go for a workout at the onsite fitness centre. The hotel has five meeting rooms and facilities available with room for up to 220 people. There is 24 hour front desk service and guests can check in from 2 pm and checking out is until noon. Pets are allowed and charges may apply.
Situated on Holy Island, and perched on a rocky crag, this miniature castle is accessible only at low tide. It was originally a Tudor fort but was converted into a private house in 1903.
The castle's opening times vary depending on the tides, but on the days on which it is open, it is open for 5 hours, either from 10am- 3pm or from 12 noon- 5pm. A copy of the tide tables can be obtained by contacting Lindisfarne Castle.

The Zetland Lifeboat is the oldest lifeboat in existence and was built in 1802 and whilst in service it saved more than 500 lives.
The museum tells the history of the Zetland and the RNLI and how the lives of fisherman were saved from the sea.Other exhibits include a fisherman's cottage and art gallery.
A shop provides souvenirs of your visit to the museum.
Entrance is free, donations are accepted.

Teesside Shopping Park
Teesside Park is located off the A19 and has free parking, other facilities include toilets, petrol station and a covered path in front of the shops.
The type of shops located at the park include food, clothes, electrical goods, toys, books, coffee houses, restaurants, pharmacy, and shoes.
There is a leisure park opposite the shopping park that includes a bowling alley, cinema, bingo hall and casino.
Opening and closing times vary depending on the shop.
This annual event which is organised by the Cumberland Agricultural Society features a livestock show with many classes of horses (including clydesdales, hunters and ponies), cattle, sheep and goats. Other shows include dogs, rabbits, poultry and tractors. The main ring stages a range of exhibitions inlcuding the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team, craft demonstrations and cookery. There are competitions for schools and a range of activities (quad biking, paintball, face painting) for all ages.
