[Clemo56, 09/02/2011] The falls of Clyde is a highly scenic, enjoyable walk along the falls of Clyde. The benches along the raised wooden path part of the route are especially good because one of them, for example has carved into different types of leaves with all the identifying features of them. Another one has some of the fish in the Clyde and another has different mammals that can be seen, squirrels and such. The walk starts off in new Lanark them follows a path up into the hills on either side of the Clyde and this path continues until a raised wooden path slightly above water level takes over. [tb240904, 06/02/2011] I love the outdoors and I find nature fascinating. I am extremely lucky because I live within a 20 minute walk of three nature reserves and there are three others nearby. The three I live near are Cleghorn Glen, Cartland Crags and this, the Falls of Clyde. The Falls of Clyde is by far my favourite with it's beautiful waterfalls and the diversity of both plant and animal species. It is one of very few places in Scotland with breeding peregrine falcons. [TerryfaeScotland, 30/11/2006] Introduction The Falls of Clyde are a series of waterfalls along the river Clyde. The waterfalls are in, and around, the village of New Lanark. There are a lot of stairs and long, long paths but it's worth it to see the falls. Visitor Centre The visitor centre is situtuated in New Lanark, next to the Clyde Walkway (the path which takes you to the waterfalls). There are many fun activities in it like giant jig-saw puzzles or miny quizzes. My favoutite are the fell boxes.
