Things to do in Naples

In 79AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted and the molten lava and ash from this catastrophic explosion destroyed the city of Pompeii. Lost for 1,600 years the city was remarkably unearthed in 1592 and was found wonderfully preserved under the ash and pumice. Everything from jars, tables, poetry, dogs and people have been found preserved in the city, frozen in time at the moment they were buried.
Pompeii tours offer extraordinarily detailed insight into life as it was in the Roman Empire for a fascinating and unique journey into history!
