[iiqcheck-en, 30/01/2012] I enjoyed my stay very much. The one thing that I was dissatisfied with was the lack of 24-7 wireless internet.
[SarahHemming, 17/01/2012] Really great service and lovely hotel. Having arrived for New Year we could have felt a little lost as two brits in Munich but the staff were amazing and could not do enough to help us. The food was amazing too (I can highly recommend the soft shell crab sushi) and the wine is not bad value either. If you like your rooms modern and simple, the decor will be right up your street, its a large Hotel but the rooms were very quiet (actually dead quiet) and extremely spacious, the shower had a funky switch which meant you could shower in a multitude of different colours which was quite cool as we

[iiqcheck-en, 16/01/2012] Our stay at Kings was excellent and enabled us to enjoy a holiday in Munich. The location, only a very short walk from the Central Station, was very convenient and the internet special offer was good value. We found the rooms stylish and very comfortable with helpful, friendly staff always on hand at reception.
[iiqcheck-en, 12/12/2011] This was our first visit to Munich for the Christmas markets. Pleasant stay. The hotel is very nice. Excellent location only 5 mins from the station and 10 mins from Marienplatz.
Breakfast was a treat, wonderful spread of all varieties of meats, breads cereals, delicious smoked salmon and sweet rolls.
Beds were very comfy, rooms a little tight but all the furniture is new and well kept. By the way they have a nespresso machine in every room - great idea!
Staff needs to improve and be more helpful especially when it's up to making a reservation for a restaurant or giving help with the Bay

[iiqcheck-en, 24/11/2011] This was the first time I had stayed at this hotel, would I go back - definitely. From check-in to check-out everything was first class good, clean and comfortable rooms and a terrific breakfast to help start your day.
[iiqcheck-en, 22/11/2011] We both enjoyed our stay very much, our room wasn't spacious but was very pleasant and clean nonetheless, bed comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower. The excellent double glazing keeps out all traffic noise brilliantly. Staff spoke good English and were polite and helpful. Location is very convenient for the main station (Haupbahnhof) and it is only a short walk to the centre of town. Good value in an expensive city.
[iiqcheck-en, 11/11/2011] This was a great hotel near the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel was quiet, the staff very helpful and accomodating (and they spoke great English), and the bed was comfortable. Our stay, although brief, was very nice, and provided us an oasis of rest in the midst of Oktoberfest outside in the city.
[iiqcheck-en, 11/11/2011] We only stayed one nite, but accomodations were good & they gave me a quiet room as requested.
We had an early train, so we didn't enjoy breakfast.
Staff wad very helpful with directions and recommendations for dinner
[iiqcheck-en, 11/11/2011] We initially chose the hotel based on its proximity to the train station and were surprised that the accommodations were first rate. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and clean, and the location allowed us to walk to nearby attractions. We enjoyed our stay so much our first night of our holiday, that we booked two additional nights at the end of our three week holiday traveling to Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
[jaaaaaanice, 01/11/2011] a huge hostel so you'll definitely meet a lot of different people. two different bars, spacious rooms, always a free shower and cheap laundry. located right next to Munich hbf.
[CustomerAlliance, 22/06/2011] Tolles Hotel, Lage, guter Service, das einzige Problem, die ganze Nacht laute Lüfter und sehr heiß!
[InsidersMunich, 10/06/2011] For over 20 years there has been a Tollwood Winter Festival at the Theresienweise in Munich. The event begins at the end of November and runs until New Years Eve when the highlight is a fantastic music festival to see in the New Year. The Christmas Market has over 200 stalls. The three aspects of the festival are culture, ecology and the Market of Ideas.
[InsidersMunich, 10/06/2011] Tollwood summer festival runs for 25 days from mid June until mid July. Started in 1988 the winter and summer festivals now attract over 1.5 million visitors each year. This is a festival of music, culture and theatre with programmes for all including children, teens and adults. The festival attracts well known international artists as well as home grown talents and features a variety of styles of music.
[InsidersMunich, 10/06/2011] This event started in 2000 and popularity has grown every year, you will see young and old on the ice, novice and experienced skaters or perhaps you just want to watch from the alpine lodge and enjoy a Gluhwein. The ice rink is here from late November until mid January every year and open most days.
[InsidersMunich, 10/06/2011] The Chinesischen Turm (Chinese Tower) is a high class restaurant in the English Garden in Munich. However it is the beer garden this most people visit. One of the largest beer gardens in the city with seating for 5000 people around the Chinese pagoda that is a landmark of the park. The beer is Hofbrau and the food excellent. From here you can take a horse and carriage ride around the park. At Christmas there is a Christmas Market here around the pagoda. There is a children's play area to one side.
[InsidersMunich, 09/06/2011] No visit to Munich is complete without a visit to the world famous Hofbrauhaus. Situated on Platzl just 5 minutes walk from Marienplatz and the atmosphere is buzzing from early morning. The large cavernous beer hall and the long wooden tables are where visitors from all over the world meet with other travellers as well as locals in true Bavarian dress. The beer is excellent and the food good. You've got to come and see for yourself!
[InsidersMunich, 09/06/2011] The Donisl is to be found in the heart of the city on Marienplatz. there are tables outside for you to watch what is happening in the square and plenty of room inside too. From the upstairs there is a window in the roof where you can see the domes of the Frauenkirche towers and also an area where the band plays from 6pm each evening.
[InsidersMunich, 09/06/2011] The Hirschgarten is Munich's largest beer garden, with seating for up to 8000 people. Located in parkland with lovely walks and barbecue areas. Adjacent the beer garden is a petting area for the deer that can be found in the park (Hirschgarten means deer garden). My only reservation was that the toilets were not quite as good as in other places.
