, 02/06/2011] The Oktoberfest is the largest beer festival in the world. Over 6 million people the festival in 16 days, beginning mid September and ending on the first Sunday in October. People sit in one of the 14 large tents, large is an understatement - these are as big as football pitches, seating up to 10,000 people, drink beer and make new friends from around the world. The first beer is not served until midday on the first Saturday when the Mayor taps the barrel in the Schottenhamel tent to the cry "O'zapft ist". At this time the large ferris wheel begins to turn and Oktoberfest has officially begun.

, 28/04/2011] This attraction I visited last year in one of my visits to Germany. Oktoberfest is more celebration of beer, a popular worldwide. Event is organized in Germany - Munich is located on Theresienwiese. Tradition here is bavarian costumes - leather pants and wool socks for men and colorful dresses for women. Tourists from around the world come to enjoy this holiday. Beerfest is two weeks. Beer is very good and is made only for the festival. Everyone here knows that the start of the holiday is made of bavarian prince Ludwig and so continues today. Oktoberfest marked its two hundred years.
