Hotel Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai
The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower is a five-star luxury hotel and is one of Mumbai's most famous historic landmark hotels. It stands on the Arabian Sea waterfront close to the Gateway of India and many of the key tourist attractions. The hotel opened in 1903 and is built in a distinctive architectural style that combines elements of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine style.
The hotel has 565 rooms including 46 suites. 268 of the rooms are in the hotel's 'Tower' extension which was added in the 1970s. The other rooms - which tend to be more expensive - are in the original historic building. All rooms include telephones, interactive televisions, wi-fi internet access, mini-bars and laptop safes.
Hotel facilities include extensive gardens and an outdoor pool, a shopping arcade, several bars and a choice of restaurants, a night club, business centre, concierge and travel services, conference rooms and the hotel's own luxury yacht which offers short cruises.
Note - at the time of writing (2009) the hotel's historic 'Palace Rooms' are undergoing refurbishment.

The Ecotel Orchid in Mumbai is a 5 star hotel with an eco-friendly focus that combines luxury with environmental sensitivity. It is Asia's first certified eco-friendly 5 star hotel and the only Ecotel worldwide with ISO 14001 certification.

Laundry and newspapers are delivered in cane baskets, coat hangers are made from pressed particle board, pencils and stationery are made from recycled materials, potted plants are used instead of cut flowers and guests have an optional 'eco button' by the bed which reduces the electricity use on air conditioning.
The hotel has a rooftop pool, fitness centre, travel desk, same day laundry service and extensive business facilities. Dining options include a coffee shop, cake shop, grill, and 2 restaurants.
Hotel JW Marriott Mumbai Mumbai
The JW Marriott Mumbai is one of the biggest hotels in Mumbai and is located on Juhu Tara Road, which is approximately 20 minutes from the main international airport. The hotel offers a taxi service, which will pick guests up and take them to the hotel. The hotel comes fully equipped with over 150 rooms, which range from the standard room to the presidential suite. The standard room comes with air conditioning, satellite television, wireless internet connection, and 24 hour room service. Every morning a maid will come and clean your room.
The hotel also comes with extra facilities, which include a swimming pool, beauty saloon and a book store, as well as a children activity area.

Hotel The Leela Kempinski Mumbai Mumbai
The Leela Kempinski is part of the international Kempinski hotel group. Located close to Mumbai's international and domestic airports in the business district of Sahar, it's a convenient base for holiday makers or business people who prefer to be in the airport area and offers luxurious facilities in a peaceful setting.
The hotel is set in 11 acres of gardens with a free-form swimming pool forming the centrepiece of the estate.
