The Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour was opened in the December of 2005. It is located near the Boeing plant at Renton, Washington. This facility manufactures the Boeing 747, 767, 777 and 787 aircraft. It is the largest volume building in the world and is the tour part of the attraction. There are some restrictions regarding entry (no personal items allowed including cameras, backpacks or food etc. The Future of Flight Aviation Center portion is housed in a $23 million facility with the emphasis placed on the future developments and recent history of commercial aviation. It consists of static displays, interactive attractions and multimedia presentations. Hours of operation are daily 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. The facility is about 30 miles north of Seattle via Interstate 5. Costs for entrance is $15 includes the Boeing factory tour. Children rates are $8 with seniors at $14. |
