Article
[Chris26, 13.06.2006] The hotel is located "seven kilometers north-west of central Moscow", but only "four stops" away from the city centre by metro. The ambiance is characterised by "stalinist Russian-empire" architecture, with "high ceilings, marble" and "gilt". The clientele consists nowadays mainly of "savy tourists" and "respectable Russians", according to Samantha. The rooms provide "high ceilings" and "french style" windows. The authors writes that the apartments on the third and fourth floor are "the best". The "legendary" hotel restaurant offers "excellent" Russian cuisine (with the veal being "unbeatable") and is in "magnificient, double-height" setting. The "best thing" of the hotel is the "nightly floor show" at the Yar restaurant. She didn't like at all ("the worst thing") the "over-sized" Stalin portrait in the staircase.
