The apartments are in the town centre, less than five minutes walk to the beach, and even closer to several bars, restaurants, and shops. Our apartment was privately owned and well looked after, with two large bedrooms (one on en-suite) and access to a large balcony (which overlooks the pool) from the living area and both bedrooms.
We booked through a UK web site called Owners Direct, although many people in the complex booked through a package tour company. We were quite happy to make our own arrangements as it was much cheaper, and the money we saved allowed us to enjoy more of the many excursions available in the Algarve.
Our apartment had air conditioning in each bedroom and in the living area, and the kitchenette contained everything we needed for a self catering holiday, including a washing machine. It was lovely and peaceful on the balcony in the evenings, yet the town itself is quite lively - although it probably won't suit those who want to go clubbing until dawn! Certainly looking forward to going back again!
