[ZS1ACH, 15/12/2009] My wife and I have visited this resort twice in the past. Unfortunately not to long ago there was a major flood in the area and a lot of the resort was washed away. Fortunately the place has been
rebuilt in some areas and renovated.They have also added twenty eight wooden mountain lodges above the resort. These lodges are luxury accomodation with underfloor heating for
winter and aircons for summer. Each one has its own spa. This resort is urrounded by many
Wineries of note which are well worth visiting .There are both indoor and outdoor warm baths
as well as a beatu salon, two restaurants,p

[trivago traveller, 23/08/2006] It's an excellent place to go an wind down - get away from it all. The baths are well maintained and the general area around the complex is excellent. Lovely walks and other entertainment - the tractor rides, the town of Montagu with friendly people. We have referred many of our friends and family and everyone has only been impressed !!

[pierrejacques, 21/06/2006] Very good value for money - the ideal place to unwind with great facilities for the health-orientated guest who wishes to gym, sauna, have massages etc. Very relaxed and friendly ambiance throughout. Weekends may be slightly crowded, but midweek the Avalon is definitely one of the best spots I have ever encountered for total relaxation.
