I used to be a regular visitor to the Executive in Milan. It was very popular with two groups of people, airline cabin crew and people visiting the Unilever headquarters which is located just behind the hotel. Looking at the photos of rooms and the lobby it's clear that the hotel has been upgraded since I was last there and should be even nicer than I remember.
It wasn't a particularly memorable hotel although it's very big, has a lively bar (especially popular with my male colleagues who always hoped to chat up an air hostess) and a good restaurant. The rooms are large and well equipped but can get a bit noisy if you are on the front of the hotel. The area has some pleasant shops, especially designer places on the Corso Como, and some nice small restaurants and a very lively Irish bar that was famed for people getting so drunk that they danced on the tables. The Garribaldi railway station is near by and there are some historic places in easy walk including one of the ancient gateways of the city.
My stays at the Executive were always very comfortable, I ate well, my room was always clean and tidy and the staff were attentive. Breakfasts were reliably good and always had lots of choice. If you don't mind staying in a big hotel that's not got a lot of character, this one is a good choice.

Whether the view is good or not depends on which side of the hotel you find yourself. The back is fine but the front has views of a busy highway.
