Detailed review by briant
We recently spent five nights at Riad el Mansour on the recommendation of a friend. It is
decorated in a traditional Moorish style rather and was filled with beautiful objects, with a great attention to detail. All the staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. They recommend lots of great places to eat and visit. The Atlas Mountains trip they arranged with a driver was a highlight.
I was surprised to find that the riad was located along an alley but discovered this is the case with most riads in Marrakech. It was certainly an oasis of calm in the chaos of Marrakesh. The hotel is situated in the medina but in a less touristy area, close all the action. We loved this because it was full of local life and colour rather than people trying to sell you things. Everyone seemed very friendly.
The room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. It seems that each room is furnished in a different style.
Marrakesh is an exciting, exotic city but can be hard work and it was great to escape to such a lovely place.

The room was large, individually furnished with lots of lovely touches.
Its a small hotel, so not a lot of the services that you expect with larger hotels such as swimming pools and bars. However, there were staff available all the time to provide drinks.
I cant really say there was a view because it was situated around a courtyard.

I cant really comment on childcare but I did notice one of the staff making a huge fuss over a young child that was staying in the hotel.
A relaxing place to stay but you don't really go to Marrakesh for relaxation.

We were picked up from the airport by the hotels driver, so no transport problems. Despite the chaos of Marrakesh the hotel was very quiet.
Its not really a city you go to for the exciting nightlife, but more to experience the very different culture.
