The MEN is is in the centre of Manchester and is host to hundreds of different events each year. There is nearly always something on at the venue and this place can hold a staggering 21,000 people!
The venue is mainly popular for concerts such as bands etc but there will be comedy acts such as Peter Kay along with other various shows such as Cirque Du Soleil and exhibitions too.
Tickets for any events that are on here can normally be booked through a ticket supplier, more often than not, Ticketmaster or you can purchase directly from the venue itself either at the box office or over the phone. Tickets vary in price depending on what the show or event is.
On show nights the immediate area around the arena is very busy and I would recommend taking trams or trains to the venue as this is one of the few methods of transport that does not get stuck due to traffic. Driving should be avoided if possible as you will find it difficult to get a space unless arriving really, really early into the city centre or being happy to park quite far away from the arena.
A concert in this place is amazing - the atmosphere is electric and because of how many people are there it really gets you in the mood!
Food and drink can be purchased in here and considering the place it is, the prices aren't too bad - I'm not saying it's cheap but it could be worse! The places where you can get food and drinks are just counter service and they also have little stalls set up too that sell other things such as a hot dog stand or a sweet stall selling candy floss.
Overall a night out here is great and I would highly recommend it.
