Casa Tapas is one of my favourite restaurants in the whole of Manchester. There are plenty of reasons why but the main two is that food is gorgeous and the atmosphere in here is exactly how I love.

It is right on the main road in Didsbury and is pretty small - it does have two floors but the restaurant as a whole is quite narrow so it gives it that intimate feel and the whole place is decorated with dark wood such as the floor and the tables and there are candles on every table and even on the walls!

Evrytime I have been here it has been busy so I have always made a reservation - i'm not sure if you just turned up wether or not you would be able to get a table so don't risk it if you're wanting to eat here.

They serve tapas which for those who don't know are small dishes which generally are shared out so for example when I went on my birthday one year and there was 15 of us we ordered a variety of 50 dishes. The dishes that come are only small but by the time you get a bit of everything you find that it is quite filling. Now that may seem quite a lot too but as each dish is in the region of £3 - 4 each, it works out quite well even after you add a couple of drinks on each and then split the bill.
I remember ordering it all and everyone panicking as everyone who went apart from my boyfriend had not been before so they were expecting to pay a lot more!!

The staff are always really efficient and friendly too and even when we ordered that big menu there were no mistakes and pretty much everything came together.

They always have traditional spanish music playing which really adds to the atmosphere and I would recommend sitting upstairs if you can as they have a little balcony with french railings so in the summer it is a really nice place to sit and relax as it looks very pretty.

I would say to anyone who likes spanish tapas to try this place as it gives a lot of well known chains a run for it's money!
