Buffet city is one of the best Chinese 'all you can eat' buffet restaurants to go to in Manchester city centre if you are looking for somewhere that is not too expensive and has something for everyone.

It is located on Portland street but not right on top of Chinatown as it is further along. It is not hard to find as the entrance is quite large and it has big red banners around it advertising it's brilliant prices which star at a small £5.50! This is normally if you eat at lunchtime but even at the highest cost of £8.50 it's still good value!

They have lots of tables so even when it's busy you can walk in and be seated within minutes. The staff are very efficient and polite and as soon as you are shown your table they will come and get your drink order allowing you to go and help yourself to the buffet straight away.

There is always loads of dishes too choose from and the staff make sure they are refilled once they get low so you never have to wait for a aparticular dish. They have loads of mains and starters and even quite a lot of deserts to choose from which always includes ice cream and a gateux of some sort.

The drinks in this place are not normally expensive especially if you drinkt the chinese beer, Tsing Tao, which usually they have on ffer for 2 for £3 so really pretty cheap for a restaurant!

I highly recommend this place - the only downside is parking as the restaurant doesn't have it's own car park so visitors would have to try and find a space in the chinatown car park which is pretty expensive or hope they can find a space on one of the street bays - if after 6pm it's normally free!
