It is within easy walking distance to the Arndale shopping centre, the MEN Arena, the Bridgewater Concert Hall, the Opera House and many of the city's museums, and the football grounds of Man United and Manchester City are also not far.
The Spa of the Malmaison Hotel invites guests to relax in the sauna, during a massage or beauty treatment or to tone up in the fitness room.
A French fare is served in the hotel's Bar and Brasserie and accompanied by a selection of international wine specialities, a variety of beers or non-alcoholic drinks and an intimate private dining room is also available.

The Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour takes you on a 2 1/2 hour ride through the streets of Liverpool and past many locations that are related to the Beatles.
The tours can start from anywhere in the city and you can request to be picked up directly from your hotel. Each of the taxis is named after a Beatles song and can accommodate up to 5 guests at one time. The guided audio tour is available in 7 languages and during your journey Beatles songs will be played.
The journey will lead you to the childhood homes of John, Paul, George and Ringo and the former family home of Beatles manager Brian Epstein. You will see St Peter's Church and Church Hall were Paul first met John, the maternity hospital where John was born and the college they attended.
Also many places which inspired the Beatles to some of their most famous songs will be on the itinerary, such as Eleanor Rigby's Tombstone, Penny Lane and the red gates to the Strawberry Fields Park. Further Beatles attractions you will see include the Empress Pub and many more.

A River Explorer Cruise lasts approximately 50 minutes and not only affords visitors the opportunity to discover the waterfront which has been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site, but can also be combined with visits to other attractions such as Spaceport and Play Planet in Seacombe, effectively making it a day trip. A visit to the Woodside Café in Birkenhead is also an option.

Consisting of 16 acres adjacent to the river Dee, Grosvenor Park dates from 1867 and offers a Victorian layout with avenues, statues and ornamental shrubs. It hosts the Summer Music Festival and other cultural events. Grosvenor Park also boasts a number of heritage features such as the Park Lodge, a statue of Richard Grosvenor, BIlly Hobby's Well, the Hermitage and various arches. Facilities at the park include a putting green and miniature railway which offers a circuit around the lake on both steam and diesel hauled trains, as well as a cafe and picnic options. Opening hours are daily from dawn to dusk.
The Stag is a CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) approved pub. It is family run and serves food as well as Real Ales and other drinks. On a Sunday evening there is a quiz.

The opening hours of the Stag are daily Monday until Saturday from 11.30am until 11pm and from 12 midday until 10.30pm on Sundays.
The remains of Beauchief Abbey lie 5 miles (8KM) to the south of Sheffield city centre. This Abbey was built between 1176 and 1183. Today, only the tower of the Abbey remains intact and the rest of the building is ruins. This tower is now used as a Church and regular services are held here.
A great deal of the original estate has been converted into golf courses, but there are still woodland parks surrounding the Abbey, which has been declared a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Access to the area is free and it is open throughout the year.
