[jipp05, 23/08/2011] When visiting Torremolinos in June we decided to have a visit to nearby Malaga for a bit of culture after spending a few days just lying on the beach. Top of my list of things to visit was the Alcazaba the 11th century fort built by the Moors when they had invaded Malaga.
We decided to drive to Malaga as it is only about a fifteen minute drive to the centre from Torremolinos and upon approaching Malaga we could see the Alcazaba from quite a distance away because of its position on top of a hill overlooking the City. To say that the Alcazaba is impressive from this spectacular jvantage point wo

[jipp05, 23/08/2011] When we were leaving the Alcazaba we noticed a large area of what appeared to be ruins located at the botton of the hill that houses the Alcazaba. We had no idea what they were as we had heard nothing about them but on closer inspection they appeared to be an Ampitheatre of some sort. We could see some people milling about on the inside so we thought we would go and have a look.
It turns out it was the Romano Teatro or Roman theatre built by the Romans but built over by the Moors and not rediscovered again until 1951. Now I love history and especially anything to do with the Romans so I was k

[jipp05, 23/08/2011] When we visited The La Alcazaba we bought a combined ticket to visit the The Gibralfaro which is situated right next the La Alcazaba up on the hill. What we hadn't realised when we bought the ticket was that to access The Gibralfaro we had to leave the Alcazaba and walk up to the top of the hill as there is no path connecting the two. This might not sound bad but the walk to the top of the hill is very long and quite ardurous especially in the Spanish heat.
What we also didn't know at the time was that there is actually a bus that you can catch at the bottom of the hill that will take you rig

[oldwasp, 10/12/2008] We had walked around Malaga old town for a while when we stumbled upon the horse drawn carriage tour and at 30 euros for the 4 of us it didn't seem to bad a price. The tour took 45 minutes and it takes you past most of the attractions near the Cathedral, these included the bullring, where Picasso was born, Paseo del Parque, Malaga harbour, city hall and Malaga beach. All of the sights were really good to see even if you could not get off and have a look around. If we had done the tour earlier in the day we could have gone back later and had a more leisurely look around some of the sights.

[Helencbradshaw, 12/01/2008] The Parador de Malaga Golf Hotel is part of a large Spanish chain, consisting of predominantly four and five star hotels across both Mainland Spain and some of its islands.
I chose this hotel primarily for its location to Malaga Airport, and I don't think there could be a better situated hotel, as it is a mere 3 km and less than ten minutes in a car to the terminal at Malaga itself. It is also only a relatively short distance to the city of Malaga itself; and the trip should be no more than €15 one way.
