The Hostal Cantábrico was founded in 1890. It is located in the center of Madrid in the heat of route of museums (Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofía) and between monuments and emblematic zones of Madrid (Real Palace, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol). The hostel has 125 rooms all with bath and colour TV. We prepare in our restaurant a daily affordable menu base in typical home-made Spanish food. More than three generations since 1890 has been dedicated to the service of the visitors of this hotel with familiar atmosphere. Most of our visitors are groups of young people, sportsmen and tourists in cultural trip. We like much the atmosphere of the hotel, self-assured, jovial and friendly.

Prado- Thyssen- Reina Sofía museums are less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel, Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral and Plaza Mayor. 12 km from Juan Carlos I Trade, 15 km from Barajas airport, 1,5 km from Atocha train station and 100 meters from Sol or Sevilla underground stations.
