This famous square is "in the heart of Madrid" and is "known as the Plaza de Arrabal during medieval times". The author of the article explains that this was when it "stood outside the city wall". The architect originally was "Juan Gómez de Mora" and he "worked during the riegn of Phillip III". The article informs us that the building burned 3 times in the years "1631, 1672, and 1790" and after each episode it was built back.
