We went to Macau for our Valentine's Day in this year. We booked MGM hotel, the Sea View room for HK$2,100 (approximate EUR 208) 2 days before the day we checked in, luckily, still have vacancy.
When we arrived at the pier of Macau, there are MGM staff holding banners to tell people that there are free shuttle buses to reach the hotel. The shuttle buses are very new and clean. It only takes 5 minutes for us to reach the hotel.
When we arrived at the hotel, I saw many people were queuing up for check in. It may due to it was public holiday and Valentine's Day. We waited around 30 minutes for check in. The front desk staff suggested us to pay HK$1,300 (approximate EUR 129) extra money to upgrade to suite, finally we rejected him politely. The check in time is 3:00pm, but arrived at 1:00pm, the staff suggested us to put our luaggage to concierge first. So we went out to have lunch. After we came back, the front desk staff said our room was upgraded to suite without extra charges. We were so happy.
When we opened the room door, it was quite a surprise to us. The room had one living room and two bedrooms. The decoration was very modern and equipped with high-tech appliances. There were two large bathrooms with two jacuzzi. The free toiletry set included bathing salt for enjoying the jacuzzi. They really care for the customers.
It is really a deluxe trip to me!
