[more]The historical building in which Hotel Quartier Bassin is located, houses 8 apartments with separate kitchenettes. The apartments are very suitable for a short visit to the sparkling city of Maastricht but are also equipped with all the facilities and the degree of privacy that is needed for a longer stay. Hotel Quartier Bassin is established in a historical building dating back to the year 1700 and is located within a brief stroll from the centre of the cosy city of Maastricht. The building consists of a front house and a back house, divided by a patio area. The original name of the building was 'In den Raeven' and this can still be read on one of the original stones on the façade of the hotel. The front part of the building houses 5 apartments and the rear part 3 apartments which all have an own ambience. The apartments differ in size and all have a sleeping area, a seating area, a kitchenette and a luxury bathroom. The kitchenette is fitted with a refrigerator, two electric hot plates, kitchen inventory and upon request a microwave. Some of the rooms are equipped with internet access. As so, the apartments have all the facilities and the degree of privacy necessary for a long and comfortable stay at the hotel. i]Please note: Check-in is possible until 20:00 h. If you want to check in at a later time, you need to contact the reception in advance. Food and Drinks The hotel offers the possibility to have breakfast but not on the premises. Within a stone's throw of the hotel in the old historical harbour of Maastricht, café Le Journal offers the guest of hotel Quartier Bassin a rich breakfast buffet. Breakfast is not available on Mondays. Internet The hotel has a wireless Internet connection that guest may use free of charge. Other information - Check-in is possible until 20:00 h. If you want to check in at a later time, you need to contact the reception in advance.- An additional bed can be placed on request at a charge of €55 per night.- Pets are allowed at a charge of €17.50 per night.- Luggage can be stored at the reception. Surroundings Public transportation can be used to reach the hotel Quartier Bassin. A bus stop can be found within a brief stroll and the Central Station (train station) is equally close to the hotel. The old city centre is within walking distance from the hotel so you can enjoy a drink or dinner very easily. Maastricht offers more interesting sights including the Bonnefantenmuseum, the Onze Lieve Vrouwebasilica or the basilica of Sint Servaas.
