Compiled for you: The facts!Details Valley of the Kings

Description: The Valley of the Kings is located on the western banks of the Nile opposite Luxor and consists of two regions, the East Valley and the West Valley. The temples and burial places of more than 60 Egyptian pharaohs have been established there over many dynasties, including those of Tutankhamun and Ramesses the Great. Most are in the East Valley, with only one presently open to the public in the West Valley. A normal ticket permits entry to three tombs only and a special ticket is required to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, which is adjacent to that of Ramesses VI.
