[luganostudent, 20/09/2011] Upon entering the Verkehrshaus, there is just so much to see. Old steamtrains, cars, airplanes etc. and so much else happening. We entered the planetarium and got a really good intorduction to the stars you can see and how they move through the year.
For a family, a whole day can easily be spent exploring the museum as there are possibilities to try different things.
[RevHev, 01/07/2010] An altogether enjoyable three nights in a friendly, attractive hotel with an excellent location. Spotless room, hospitality tray, free wireless internet. Heartily recommended!
[vasilevn, 09/06/2010] Do not get me wrong, I like this hotel. The rooms, the service and the breakfast are very good, but because of the hotel's business-style and the surrounding buildings there lacks the spirit of old Lucerne. However, only ten steps away and you are at the famous wooden Chapel Bridge. As a conclusion, If you like more modern style hotels and also taking in mind the fact that the hotels in the old part of Lucerne across the river are more expensive, I think that the hotel would like you.
[BenjiMayer, 19/05/2010] Location was just great! The hotel standard and service was excellent !!! We arrived late at night and restaurant served still food up to 0H30....so we got still the normal menu to choose from! The food was more than good...
We enjoyed the large buffet breakfast in the morning and when we left the girl from reception offered us an apple for the way...nice gesture!
Old town and shopping is in walking distance and we were able to leave luggage in the hotel without extra charge....in the lobby they have an internet corner for free :-)
[SScrib, 24/02/2009] Hotel in the old town of Lucerne and a pretty good location. Whole hotel is non-smoking. However, we stayed there for Fastnacht and they attracted visitors into a makeshift bar on ground floor and encouraged smoking. That smoke went up the stairs and into the hallways and guest rooms. It was an awful night.
