[more]The Holy Trinity Church of Long Melford is one of the great wool churches of Suffolk and was completed in 1484. The latest addition to this surprisingly large church, which resembles more a cathedral in size than churches usually found in villages of this size, is it's early 19th century tower.
The church, which towers on a hill above the village, is famous for its flushwork which is especially present at the Lady Chapel and tower, and its medieval stained glass windows.
The Holy Trinity Church is open for visitors daily and there is no entrance fee, but donations are welcome and there is a small gift shop at the entrance.
The church does not have its own parking spaces but free parking can be found within easy walking distance.
