[more]Battersea Park Children's Zoo is situated on the south bank of the River Thames, between Albert Bridge and Chelsea Bridge. The nearest tube station is Sloane Square, the nearest rail station, Battersea Park, and there are a number of pay and display car parks for visitors.
Open all year around from 10am to 4pm, the zoo costs 7,50€ for adults and 5,50€ for children aged between 2 to 15. The Zoo is run by the Heap family who saved the Zoo from being closed in 2003. Their wish was to help youngsters to learn about and respect the planet and life on Earth. It is possible to adopt an animal at the zoo to help out with the feeding and welfare costs. Prices vary according to the animals chosen. Group tours or kiddies parties are organised at the Zoo.
The zoo allows wheelchair access and helpers are available.
