[redpaint, 30.10.2007] The writer is telling us this park is situated "in the heart of central London" and is providing Londoners and visitors with a place "to relax", "sight see" or "take part in sports". She is continuing telling us that due to its "fantastic location" it is a great way to visit many parts of London by foot without cramming on "over packed overheated underground trains or buses". The writer's telling us the park is at 142 hectares and that you'll have to "allow yourselves plenty of time to explore".

"Many sporting activities" are provided she says eg. "swimming/paddling in the Serpentine lake" and "tennis, bowls and horse riding". The writer is also saying you can "do your own thing" such as "bring a ball and a picnic".
LadyLou informs us there are cafes in the park if "the picnic idea doesn't appeal".

To bring the review to an end the writer's giving us advise on some shopping, sightseeing and museums in the area of the park "which you may have been hoping to visit anyway". Some of the places she recommends are Oxford street, Harrods and trendy Notting Hill "with a wide variety of boutiques" for shopping. Kensington Palace and the Royal Albert Hall for some sightseeing and "fantastic" Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum "are just a ten minute walk" from the park.
LadyLou ends the review by writing "I would definitely recommend Hyde Park".
