[petit_filou, 08/02/2012] St James’s Park leads you all the way along the Mall and Birdcage Walk from Buckingham Palace to Charring Cross station and Trafalgar Square on one side, and the Royal Horseguards, the Whitehall and Westminster Abbey on the other. With such a location I find it perfect for a little break after visiting either of these, and the park offers plenty to do to keep the family happy. Apart from plenty of shady trees and benches, which will be welcome to catch some breath after some serious sightseeing, you’ll find a café directly at the lake where you can re-energize. [magdadh, 29/11/2011] This park covers 58 acres and is the oldest, and most venerable of the Royal Parks in London, it also sits at the centre of the pageantry of the Empire, with the Mall being the setting for many ceremonial parades and events, the Whitehall at one end and the Buckingham Palace at the other. It's also a surprisingly pleasant and sheltered place to spend some time, less grand than some other parks, with lots of trees, shrubbery and a lake with ducks, geese and pelicans. I like it better than the Hyde Park, although it is smaller.

[roseycheeks, 25/03/2009] The last time I visited St. James' Park was April 2008. It was when my parents visited me in London. We went there after dim sum at China town. It only took us 10 minutes to walk from China town. It was quite a nice walk after our big lunch. St. Jamess' Park is one of the Royal Parks and has 58 acres of land. It is situation at the heart of London. The lake has occupied third of the park. You can find pelicans, geese and ducks in the lake. Buckingham Palace is at the end of the park.
