This attraction holds a "plunder of incalculable value and beauty from around the globe". In the authors opinion the building which he describes as a "Greco-Victorian building" makes a "suitably grand impression". Speaking about the exhibits which can be seen inside the museum we are informed they are "are some of the greatest relics of humankind". Inside the museum, many of sections "have been updated, particularly in ethnography." The author continues to give some detail about the exhibits and what they look like.

Speaking about the collections inside the museum, we are told it "began in 1753 and grew quickly, thanks to enthusiastic kleptomaniacs during the Napoleonic Wars." The article continues to give details about the various collections and the history behind them. This includes the Rosetta Stone which was "found by French soldiers in 1799, and carved in 196 BC with a decree of Ptolemy V in Egyptian hieroglyphics." This proved to be the key to unlocking the mystery of Egyptian hieroglyphics.

The upstairs of the museum holds "some of the most popular galleries, especially beloved by children". This includes exhibits such as "the Egyptian mummies." The author continues to go into some detail about the other exhibits which are upstairs.
