Captain Kait rates his visit on HMS Belfast as four of five stop signs. Moving toward the ship on the floating pathway he "realized that this was no ordinary museum". As she is "moored in the Thames", the ship may be "easily overlooked for bigger, grander landmarks" the city center of London is known for, such as "St. Paul's and Tower Bridge". When Captain Kait finally gets up close and personal, the light cruiser "from the Royal Navy that served in World War II" is "quite impressive". It was with surprise they found "we were allowed to tour what seemed to be a majority of the ship". Instead

Noting the HMS Belfast was launched "on St. Patricks Day 1938 and used by the Royal Navy until 1965", it was "refurbished with a view to preserving a piece of British Naval History" in 1971. HMS Belfast participated in many key battles from World War II , including providing "protection duties for Allied forces during D-Day". Trenchart1662 says "you will have a whale of a time aboard HMS Belfast" whether you be a kid, a kid at heart, or have an interest in naval history.
