The Waldorf Hilton is trying hard to shake off its corporate image, according to Cath Urquhart, the reviewer. It has spent £30 million on a refurbishment of the bedrooms and other public areas. She writes that she finds the Homage bar to be "stylish and dimly lit with prompt, polite service" whilst she states that the Homage Grand Salon restaurant is a "beautiful room" with amongst other things, elegant chandaliers. She states that it is a huge success with faultless food and friendly service. Her bedroom was a little small, with basics "just right" and decorated in stylish, cool neutrals "enlivened" by burnt orange cushions.
